Jun 27, 2018 I figured I’d waited long enough and bought a TS100. The TS80 tips are at the moment not easy to find, the TS100 tips are everywhere. The TS100 is too ubiquitous for the tips to disappear any.

Sorry for formatting, I'm on mobile.
So I'm in doubt whether to buy the TS100, TS80 or maybe a whole other brand/product. €70 is about my budget. I now have a crappy old 35W AC Wetter, that is powered from the plug. I don't care about mobility but I like the silicone type c cable from the TS80 because with my current setup I accidentally made some burns in my AC cord. I'm building a battery for an E-Bike right now so I need an iron that can do about 8 gauge wire.

The TS100 has a far more higher wattage (65watt) but it looks like the TS80 is better designed. Can the TS80 do 8 gauge? or should I get the higher wattage from the TS100? Or should I get a whole other setup for the desk.
